I Have Been Prescribed Antibiotics Can I Continue With The Total Plan?Updated 23 days ago

Guidelines for Taking Antibiotics While on Our Diet Plan

If you’ve been prescribed antibiotics, it's crucial to consider the instructions for taking them, as this can impact your adherence to the Total Plan:

Antibiotics on an Empty Stomach: If your antibiotics need to be taken on an empty stomach, you can continue with the Total Plan. Simply take the antibiotics between meals as directed.

Antibiotics with Food: If your antibiotics must be taken with food, we recommend pausing the Total Plan. However, if you are required to take only one antibiotic per day, you might consider switching to the Switch Plan, where you can take the antibiotic with a low-calorie meal. This option offers the flexibility to accommodate your medication needs.

Consult Your GP: If you're uncertain or have concerns, it's crucial to consult your GP for personalised guidance. Following their instructions is essential to ensure your medication is effective.

Why Pausing the Total Plan Might Be Necessary:

Liquids, such as shakes and soups, are processed more quickly by the body compared to solid foods. This rapid digestion could potentially affect the absorption of antibiotics, reducing their effectiveness or causing side effects. Therefore, it is important to follow your doctor's advice and the instructions provided with your medication.
