Indian Fakeaway Night! 🍛🇮🇳

Daal & rice, burger onion bhajis, and omelette garlic naan — all on plan and absolutely full of flavour! A bit of effort, but totally worth it for this epic New You-style fakeaway! 🤩🙌


What You’ll Need…

✔ 1 pack Indian Daal Meal
✔ 1 pack Burger Mix
✔ 1 pack Omelette Mix
Onion granules
Garlic granules
Mixed herbs
Fresh chilli (finely chopped)
Water
Fry Light spray
Non-stick pan
Air fryer
Sieve


Method:

🍚 Daal & Rice

  1. Sieve the daal pot to separate the rice — warning: this is the fiddly bit! 😅
  2. Cook the rice in a small pan with just enough water to soften it without making it soggy.
  3. In a separate pan, cook the remaining daal mix with the usual amount of water until thick and spiced to your taste.

🧅 Burger Onion Bhajis

  1. Mix the Burger Pack with around 30ml of water — you want a firm texture.
  2. Add onion granules and fresh chopped chilli, then shape into small bhaji-style patties.
  3. Cook in the air fryer at 190°C for approx. 7 minutes, or until golden and crisp.

🧄 Omelette Garlic Naan

  1. Make the Omelette Mix but use less powder than usual to create a thicker, pancake-like batter.
  2. Stir in garlic granules and a pinch of mixed herbs.
  3. Spray a non-stick pan with Fry Light and cook until golden, flipping once — this becomes your soft, garlicky "naan".

To Serve:

  • Plate up your daal and rice, add your crispy onion bhajis, and serve with your omelette garlic naan on the side.
  • Optional: top with extra chilli or herbs for a finishing touch! 🌿🌶️
