Indian Fakeaway Night! 🍛🇮🇳
Daal & rice, burger onion bhajis, and omelette garlic naan — all on plan and absolutely full of flavour! A bit of effort, but totally worth it for this epic New You-style fakeaway! 🤩🙌
What You’ll Need…
✔ 1 pack Indian Daal Meal
✔ 1 pack Burger Mix
✔ 1 pack Omelette Mix
✔ Onion granules
✔ Garlic granules
✔ Mixed herbs
✔ Fresh chilli (finely chopped)
✔ Water
✔ Fry Light spray
✔ Non-stick pan
✔ Air fryer
✔ Sieve
Method:
🍚 Daal & Rice
- Sieve the daal pot to separate the rice — warning: this is the fiddly bit! 😅
- Cook the rice in a small pan with just enough water to soften it without making it soggy.
- In a separate pan, cook the remaining daal mix with the usual amount of water until thick and spiced to your taste.
🧅 Burger Onion Bhajis
- Mix the Burger Pack with around 30ml of water — you want a firm texture.
- Add onion granules and fresh chopped chilli, then shape into small bhaji-style patties.
- Cook in the air fryer at 190°C for approx. 7 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
🧄 Omelette Garlic Naan
- Make the Omelette Mix but use less powder than usual to create a thicker, pancake-like batter.
- Stir in garlic granules and a pinch of mixed herbs.
- Spray a non-stick pan with Fry Light and cook until golden, flipping once — this becomes your soft, garlicky "naan".
To Serve:
- Plate up your daal and rice, add your crispy onion bhajis, and serve with your omelette garlic naan on the side.
- Optional: top with extra chilli or herbs for a finishing touch! 🌿🌶️
