🥤 What Can I Drink on The New You Plan?
Staying hydrated is one of the most important parts of your success on The New You Plan. Drinking the right fluids not only supports fat metabolism but also helps reduce cravings, maintain energy, and keep you feeling your best.
Here’s everything you need to know about what’s allowed (and what’s not) while on plan:
💧 Water and Water Flavourings
Aim to drink 2.5 to 4 litres of water daily. Hydration is essential to support your body during weight loss and helps with digestion, energy, and focus.
✅ Approved Options
- Plain water – Tap, bottled still, or sparkling
- New You Plan Water Flavourings – Add a refreshing burst of flavour to your water
- Sparkling water with flavourings – A great alternative to sugary fizzy drinks
- Pineapple Boosts – A natural pick-me-up when you need an energy lift
💡 Tip: Keep a water bottle with you throughout the day to make it easier to stay on track.
☕ Tea and Coffee
Tea and coffee are allowed and can be a comforting part of your daily routine.
✅ Teas You Can Enjoy
- Assam – Rich and bold
- Ceylon – Bright and citrusy
- Darjeeling – Light and aromatic
- English Breakfast – A timeless classic
- Green Tea – With or without mint, packed with antioxidants
- Peppermint or Spearmint – Naturally caffeine-free and refreshing
- Rooibos – Smooth, sweet, and caffeine-free
❌ Teas to Avoid
- Fruit teas
- Floral teas
These may contain ingredients that are not compatible with the plan, so it’s best to avoid them.
🥛 Milk Allowance for Tea and Coffee
If you like milk in your tea or coffee, you can include it within your daily allowance:
- 250ml skimmed milk or unsweetened soya milk
- 165ml semi-skimmed milk or sweetened soya milk
- 85ml full-fat milk
🔔 Note: Milk does not count towards your daily water intake, so be sure to keep drinking plain or flavoured water alongside your usual tea or coffee.
☕ Flavoured Coffee
You can enjoy flavoured instant coffee from brands such as Beanies or Little’s, which offer a variety of delicious flavours without added sugar. These are a great way to mix things up while staying on plan.
🥤 Diet Zero Drinks (Occasionally)
If you fancy something fizzy, you can enjoy:
- Coke Zero
- Dr Pepper Zero
Limit to one can per week. These are best enjoyed as an occasional treat to stay motivated without going off track.
