Staying hydrated is a cornerstone of your success on the New You Plan. Here’s everything you need to know about what’s on the menu:
Water & Water Flavourings
Proper hydration is vital on the New You Plan. Aim to drink 2.5 to 4 litres of water daily. Staying hydrated supports fat metabolism, reduces cravings, and helps maintain energy.
Here’s how to make it easier and more enjoyable:
- Plain Water: Tap, bottled still, or sparkling water are all great options.
- New You Plan Water Flavourings: Add a burst of flavour to your water to make hitting your hydration goals easier. Mix them with sparkling water for a refreshing, soda-like experience.

Tea & Coffee
Tea and coffee can be a comforting part of your day. Here are some compatible options:
Teas to Enjoy:
- Assam: A rich and bold classic.
- Ceylon: Bright, citrusy, and refreshing.
- Darjeeling: Known as the "champagne of teas," it’s light and aromatic.
- English Breakfast: A timeless favourite.
- Green Tea: Packed with antioxidants; also available with mint for a twist.
- Peppermint/Spearmint: Naturally caffeine-free and soothing.
- Rooibos: Caffeine-free with a smooth, sweet flavour.
Teas to Avoid:
- Fruit and Floral Teas: These are not compatible with the New You Plan and should be avoided.
Milk for Tea & Coffee
Add milk within these daily allowances:
- 250ml skimmed or unsweetened soya milk.
- 165ml semi-skimmed or sweetened soya milk.
- 85ml full-fat milk.
Please note that milk does not count toward your daily water intake. When adding milk to your tea or coffee, it should be considered separately from your hydration goals. Be sure to continue drinking plain water or water flavoured with New You Plan flavourings to meet your water intake targets.
